Three New Staff Members for eCOGRA

eCOGRA are seeking to increase their ability to offer their services of standards compliance and business advisory to more software providers, affiliate programs and online casino operators. In order to do so, they have hired three new fully qualified accounting professionals to join their experienced teams.

The three new employees, Sean Roberts, Bradley Khoury and Gareth Muirhead all have chartered accountancy qualifications and university business degrees. All three also have experience in professional business service companies and large international audits.

The CEO of eCOGRA, Andrew Beveridge, explained that the three new members of their team will find that their work involves "the interesting application of a wide range of diverse professional skills... [and] also require them to travel throughout the world, providing consulting and auditing services to over 50 of the top operations in the online gambling industry."

Sean Roberts will be joining the Compliance and Advisory Services Department. The department offers advice, review and inspection services to online casino operators and software providers for several different areas. Amongst others it validates software and programs in light of the requirements set out by eCOGRA, and in accordance with industry accepted practices. Mr. Roberts, apart from being an Audit Manager and a Chartered Accountant has international experience in this field. In his free time, he is also a licensed pilot.

The Compliance and Advisory Services Department will also be welcoming Bradley Khoury to its ranks. Mr. Khoury, who comes from PricewaterhouseCoopers' (PwC) Risk Advisory Services Division is also a Chartered Accountant. At PwC he was acknowledged as a stellar performer.

Gareth Muirhead is joining the Data Department, which is responsible for auditing and evaluating the actual gambling software used by online software providers. Mr. Muirhead's educational background is in Computer Science and Information Systems, as well as in Auditing. He too is a Chartered Accountant.

eCOGRA

eCOGRA stands for e-Commerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance. It is a not for profit organization that is in the business of ensuring that Internet casinos measure up to certain standards. The independent body puts their seal on the sites of online casinos, online gaming software providers and also affiliate websites.

In order to get the eCOGRA seal of approval for an online casino, the casino needs to meet standards in the areas of honest advertising, prompt payments, fair games, responsible behavior and safe storage of information. These standards are tested on a regular basis by independent auditors.
