The InterCasino Space Race promotion, where players could “Win a trip to Space and other extraordinary prizes” ended at the end of last month, May 2010. The draw for the winning player took place on June 1st, 2010.

The winner of the main prize, a trip into suborbital Space, has been won by a resident of the United Kingdom, Debbie Bradby. Bradby is from Redhill, Surrey. Debbie Bradby is eligible to go on a trip with the company Space Adventures in the United States, that offer trips into suborbital Space. The Space flight is boosted out of earth’s atmosphere, taking travelers 100km (62 miles) up, and away from earth.

The trip allows passengers to feel true weightlessness for about five minutes before returning to the earth’s surface. Those aboard the Space flight will have a chance to look at the vastness of outer space, as well as at the earth’s horizon.

In order to win this competition, players earned stars while they played online casino games, and stood in line to win smaller prizes along the way. Each star was considered as one entry into the final draw, which meant that all players who entered had a chance to win, whether they had earned one star, or many stars.
