Quicktender Has Accounts Frozen
May 28, 2011 | News Category: Casino Banking
Earlier this month, Quicktender - Use My Wallet, the e-wallet processors that had facilitated online casino financial transfers, began to have some trouble with funds that had been transferred to the United States. Because the e-wallet processor is based in the Netherlands, it did not have any of its own banks in the United States, but soon heard from US customers that they were unable to access their funds.
At the time, Quicktender issued a statement regarding this issue, explaining that the funds had left their European bank account, and that it would look into the reason for the problems on the US side of things. Quicktender - Use My Wallet also stated that the company would look for safe withdrawal methods for customers in the United States.
After the recent bout of online gambling site seizures, and a number of bank accounts being frozen as part of the seizure, a new statement was issued by Quicktender. Unfortunately, the statement released by Quicktender - Use My Wallet was not something that their customers had hoped to hear, and in fact made their worst fears come true.
After Quciktender's website was shut down, the following message appeared: "With regret, the Quicktender service has been discontinued. All account holders will be notified by email."
The company did contact their customers by an email that read as follows: "Since our last email communication, where we advised any funds in your Quicktender account could still be used to purchase at Quicktender accepting sites, we have been working hard to reinstate our withdrawal facility and ensure your funds where safe and secure."
Unfortunately for Quicktender customers, the email continued: "However, further developments specifically relating to our main bank processing company have resulted in our accounts being frozen subject to a seizure order giving us no ability to make payments in any currency. In light of these developments we have had no option but to discontinue the Quicktender service with immediate effect and for the foreseeable future."
The email continued to note that the company was not able to let its customers know if or when balances would be able to be paid out.
The email ended by noting that Quicktender would keep in touch with its customers, and inform them "of future relevant developments."
There has been confirmation that the Netherlands bank accounts connected to Quicktender have been frozen by the Federal action and indictments.
