Playtech Buongiorno Deal

Playtech plc, the well known online casino software provider, has inked a deal with the Italian mobile operator, Buongiorno.

The mobile entertainment company, Buongiorno, offers an extensive range of mobile content. Buongiorno operates in 57 countries located all over the world, and has around 300 million users enjoying their services. Currently, Buongiorno already has an online poker offering, and an online bingo offering for their Italian users, which is run under the Winga brand.

The agreement that was signed between Playtech plc and Buongiorno, will introduce an online casino product to add to the services that are already being offered by the company. The new offering will be available early on in the new year, 2011. The online casino offering will be launched following the introduction of the new online casino and gaming regulation in Italy.

The offering will also operate under the Winga brand, and will introduce new and exciting types of games, and way to play for the Italian online and mobile gambling market.

The Chief Executive of the Buongiorno group, Andrea Casalini, had the following to say: "Buongiorno's e-gaming offering, Winga, is set to develop in two directions in the coming few months, once [Italian] regulations allow."

Casalini explained what the role of Playtech would be, saying: "Firstly, via the expansion on our existing gaming offering, to include lotteries, casino games and more. This is where our casino agreement with Playtech will play a key part, enabling this exciting expansion to happen." He further continued: "Secondly, the provision of the Winga offering on the mobile channel, leveraging Buongiorno's ten years of experience in this sector."

Mor Weizer, the Chief Executive Officer of Playtech is certainly pleased with this new agreement, which will expand Playtech's horizons. The online casino software company has a great cross-platform offering that can be used for those looking for expertise in this area. The CEO is pleased to be working with a company that is known for their mobile expertise, and feels that the two companies are inline with their thinking.

Mr. Weizer said: "This agreement is a significant step forward for Playtech in Italy. Given Buongiorno's historic mobile expertise, it is also an excellent opportunity to implement some unique technologies for the Italian market, as Playtech's cross-platform capability fits very well with Buongiorno's business model."

He also expressed his enthusiasm with the current deal by noting that Playtech looks "forward to developing this relationship in the coming months.
