PitBoss to Remove Threat of Cheating at Online Casinos

CogniSafe, an Israeli software developer, has come up with a solution for the problem of fraud at online casinos that is perpetrated by bots and software. CogniSafe announced that they have created a software solution which is able to detect the kind of cheating that is frequently used at online gambling sites. The new program is called PitBoss.
A spokesperson for CogniSafe explained that PitBoss monitors the logic and styles of play of both operators and customers. The data analysis shows information which can detect known fraudulent methods, and also whether any kind of new threat has emerged. PitBoss measures player behavior against mathematical models and algorithms; identifying deviations from normal play can help to uncover fraudulent "play" by computer attacks.
One of the important points for online casinos and online poker rooms is that any kind of fraud detection software needs to run in real time so that the perpetrators can be stopped in their tracks. Shmuel Knoforty of CogniSafe, when speaking about the new PitBoss program, said "It tries to understand the event and it can be 100 percent normal, but if you detect a threat it can be diagnosed. It will look for programs that show a threat in the system that works in real time."
Not only will online gambling operators appreciate the new capability that PitBoss will give them to monitor their websites for those wishing to cheat and scam them and their players, but the online gambling site customers will also be pleased that fair play can once again be ensured. The recent scandals that have occurred and been revealed over the past year at Absolute Bet and Ultimate Poker were well documented in the news, even becoming the subject of an investigative report by the "Sixty Minutes" television program. They have left players feeling insecure about Internet security and the fairness of the games they are competing in.
Last year, CogniSafe combined with a United States investment company, 21Ventures, in order to do research into the problem of detecting cheating in online gambling casinos and poker rooms. They also researched the possibility of monitoring online gaming for honesty in play. CogniSafe explained that PitBull not only can operate in an autonomous mode, without operator supervision, but that it also has self-learning capabilities and can adapt to recognize new kinds of computer attacks that may be developed in the future. This makes the new software an excellent investment for online casinos that can buy themselves protection against cheating now, and also be assured that they'll be protected in years to come.
