While the online casino industry is looking forward to the release of the Blackberry Playbook, it is likely that Apple is not.

Apple has had large amounts of success over the past few years with their tablet computers. In fact Apple has dominated the market, especially since the release of the iPad in 2010. The iPad is one of the most exciting technological phenomena to have come out of the previous decade.

What is not surprising is that other companies have now released similar tablet computers, with more expected to join the market. Although Apple may have been the first to launch their tablet computer, other companies are now releasing their own tablet computers that come with features that Apple does not have.

The Blackberry Playbook is expected to be launched this month. For those online casino players who are trying to decide whether the Apple iPad is better for their needs, or the Blackberry Playbook is better, all they need to do is look at the specs.

The new Blackberry Playbook is generated much excitement in the online gambling world, both for players, and for online gambling operators. The Blackberery Playbook is smaller than the iPad, yet it is bigger than smart phones, which is a particularly convenient size for many users. Although having a larger screen, such as on the Apple iPad, is a great feature. Having a smaller and more easily portable tablet computer is a convenience that many would however prefer.

For the online casino industry, the best selling point for the Blackberry Playbook has nothing to do with its size, but the software it supports. The Apple iPad does not support Flash software, and the new Blackberry Playbook does. Online casinos that are no download casinos, and allow instant play are usually powered by the Flash software. This software makes gaming accessible to those who choose the Blackberry Playbook over the Apple iPad.

Not offering Flash is certainly a limitation for the iPad, yet Apple has chosen not to offer Flash for the iPad 2, claiming that the software makes the battery run down too quickly because the program uses a lot of power.

Although many may wait a little while to see how well the Blackberry Playbook operates after it has been released, there are others who would already place their orders now. For those who have to make the decision as to which tablet computer is best for their purposes, they just need to decide what they wish to use the tablet computer for.

Online casino players who wish to play while they are out and about, and do not wish to take heavy laptops with them are likely to choose the Blackberry Playbook simply because of the Flash program.
