Microgaming, the popular and well-known online casino software provider has reached an agreement with Betware, another well-known company, which has a large lottery network.
Yesterday, Microgaming announced that the company had reached an agreement with Betware, which gives Betware license to market and sell some of Microgaming’s top online casino games. Betware is an established company, which sells gaming solutions and services to a number of state lotteries. The agreement allows Betware to use a leading suite of Microgaming’s popular games on top of their existing platform that they offer.
Betware has already been in the lottery market for quite some time, offering Internet solutions for 14 years. The company already offers a number of games on their gaming platform, and “offers an unrivalled turn-key solution.” Currently, Betware’s offerings include an impressive lotto suite, bingo, racing, sports betting, and other casual and skill-based online games.
The agreement with Microgaming will increase the Betware offering by 85 new online casino games. These 85 new games from Microgaming’s excellent choice of online casino games will give state lotteries the chance to benefit from Microgaming’s popularity and experience, while offering their player base new and exciting online casino games.
“We are delighted to be able to license our casino games to Betware,” said Roger Raatgever, Microgaming’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Raatgever adds that Betware is a market leader in their field of expertise. He continued, “Betware’s long history in gaming combined with its extensive lottery network will be beneficial in pushing the Microgaming brand into exciting new territories and markets. We look forward to a long and successful working relationship.”
Through Betware, Microgaming will be offering their games to jurisdictions where they are not offering, or are not able to offer their online casinos for various reasons.
The Chief Executive Officer of Betware, Stefán Hrafnkelsson, said: “We are very proud and excited to be licensed to sell and market Microgaming’s casino games to growing markets. This agreement significantly expands our product offering, and provides our customers with a great opportunity to leverage on the fantastic success of the Microgaming brand.”
Mr. Hrafnkelsson also commented on the mutual profitability that was likely to come out of this agreement. Ultimately we believe that this venture will not only be beneficial for the state lotteries we service, but for both ourselves and Microgaming too.”
Although this information has not yet been confirmed by either Microgaming or Betware, it has been rumored that the provincial lotteries in Canada may have plans in which they will offer the entire country a unified system for online casino gaming.
