Two very popular forms of entertainment, Hollywood and online casinos, will be coming together to bring viewers a movie. Not only are Hollywood and online casinos a great combination, but the bonus of drawing the actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, from the pack of possible stars is like winning a bonus round on your favorite slot game.

DiCaprio will be starring in the movie, which has yet to be named, about online gambling. The movie will be set in Costa Rica in Central America. Brian Koppelman and David Levien, have written the script. These two writers also wrote the scripts for two other gambling related movies, Ocean's Thirteen and Rounders.

Ocean's Thirteen was centered around a casino in Las Vegas, while Rounders had its focus on poker players. The scriptwriters have shown their understanding of the gambling world in Ocean's Thirteen and in Rounders, by portraying the casino world and the poker world in a realistic manner. Rounders portrayed poker in both its good light and its dark side. The movie was certainly good for the poker industry, with viewers who had not played poker before, wanting to play at a hand or more.

Although the story line, and the basic plot, have not yet been revealed to the public, online casino operators and others in the online casino industry, are somewhat optimistic about how online gambling will be portrayed in the movie. It is likely that there need be no concern over the movie portraying online gambling in a negative light, since the two other movies by the same scriptwriters showed that the writers understood the gambling world and portrayed it positively. The online casino industry hope that this trend will continue for online gambling.

It is likely that the script is a good one, and that the movie will also be good, because Leonardo DiCaprio has shown from his track record, that he only picks good acting roles in good movies.

At this time, no dates have been set for when the movie will begin production. It does seem, however, that it could be some time before production begins because DiCaprio has a number of other projects on the table at the moment.

Many in the industry are nervous to place their bets as to whether Paramount Pictures will be bringing a positive or a negative image of online casinos to the big screen.

One wonders how long it will take before an enterprising online casino software company buys the rights to use the movie's theme for a slot game.
