Large Percentage of Tablet Owners Play Games

The tablet computers have not been around for that long, however, they have shown themselves to be popular with many computer users, especially those who like to take part in online gaming. The size of the tablet computer screens, and the fact that the screen can easily switch from portrait to landscape mode is simply an added bonus for many users.
There have been a number of recent studies looking into what most users use their tablet computers for. Google's Admob has recently shown that tablet computer users have been using their tablets, in the most part, for gaming. The data shows that there are more users that play games on their tablet computers than those who use them for email or for watching the news.
Results of the survey show that as many as 84 percent of those who own tablets use them to play games, while only 78 percent use their tablets to search for information. There are 74 percent of tablet owners who use their tablets for emails, and 61 percent of users who use their tablets to keep abreast of the news. 56 percent of respondents use their tablet computers to be in touch with others via social networking, and 51 percent of users watch movies and/or music videos, while 46 percent of users use their tablets to read ebooks.
Bearing in mind that the numbers shown are only for tablet usage, and not for each user's total computer usage, it was noted that 28 percent of those who responded to the survey now use their tablet computers as their primary computers, and as many as 43 percent of respondents said that they use their tablet computers more than either their laptops or desktop computers.
38 percent of tablet users that responded to the survey noted that they spend over two hours each day using their tablet computers, and 30 percent of users spend between one and two hours a day using their tablets.
While the online games that are played on tablet computers are not necessarily played for real money, and may not even be played in an online casino, this certainly shows that there is a large percentage of users that are interested in gaming. It is also possible that if the laws in countries such as the United States allowed online gambling, it would be quite likely that much of the online gaming that tablet users take part in would be at online casinos, and other online gambling sites, rather than at free gaming sites.
