International Gaming Awards to Take Place Next Week

Next week brings with it the International Gaming Awards that will be taking place in London. The International Gaming Awards is the biggest gaming awards ceremony in the gaming world. It has been compared to the Oscars, and although it might not be quite the same as the Oscars, it is certainly a very elegant event.

The International Gaming Awards is set to take place on January 23rd 2012, and will be taking place at the prestigious Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair, London. Not only is the event a big event in the gaming world, it is also a charitable event, and it has become known as the biggest charitable gaming event that is taking place each year.

The event will honor those who have excelled in both the land based gaming industry and the online gaming industry. The top contenders will all be there, and the best of the best from 2011 will take home the awards.

The event, apart from being a glamorous way to spend an evening, is also great for networking and good will for members of the gaming community. There will be a mix of people from the industry, including the top executives and the owners of a number of land based and online gambling establishments. This will include a broad representation from those who supply the gambling world with software for both online casinos and land based casinos.

Some of the big companies that will be represented at the International Gaming Awards 2012 ceremony include Playtech, Microgaming, Paddy Power, Bettson, Bally Technologies, eCOGRA (e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance), the RGA (Remote Gaming Association), the IGC (Interactive Gaming Council), and many others. The Platinum Sponsor of this year's event is PokerStars, the well known online poker site. Every year, the International Gaming Awards does what it can to help those in need, and this year, 2012, the charities that have been chosen are certainly worthy choices. The charities that will be supported this year are The GREaT Foundation, Children with Leukemia, Horn of Africa Food Crisis Appeal, and CARE International.

This means that not only will those who are lucky enough to be attending have an incredible and interesting evening out, but that there will also be a lot of good done by the charitable donations that will be collected and donated because of the event.
