ICEi Filled with Hi-Tech Innovation
January 30, 2011 | News Category: Casino Software
The online gambling operators that were represented at this year's ICEi (International Casino Exhibition Interactive) online gambling industry show have shown that there will be innovation and enthusiasm in large doses this year.
A total of 409 gambling exhibitors, made up of both land based gambling and online gambling exhibitors showed off some of what they have in store for players in the coming year. This year, 72% of those showing exhibits came from countries outside of Britain, and large crowds traveled to Earl's Court in London to attend the ICEi.
Microgaming of course was one of the major players, showing their mobile technology developments, and their most recent live dealer technology. Since Microgaming is involved in the online gaming world in many different areas, the online gaming software provider has much to share. The newest live dealer game offering, roulette, certainly found much favor with the crowds. Microgaming showed their recent slot releases, their latest online bingo side game releases, and a 3D slot game, and much more.
Playtech, as always, enjoyed major exposure at ICEi. Playtech demonstrated a new user interface, which impressed those viewing it because it is easy to navigate, easy to understand, easy to search, and is certainly based on what the player needs. Players will be able to search types of bonuses, types and styles of online casino games, and will also find full descriptions of the games that are available, making it easier to choose which they would like to play. Players will even be able to find games that are similar to those that they are currently playing.
Rival Gaming chose to reveal their latest 3D interactive slot game, Shangri-La, which was also well received.
Many other online gambling companies and land based gambling companies were represented from the 55 different nations that were represented at ICEi 2011. The online gambling sector was shown to be particularly successful this year. The tough global economy that has crippled many businesses in the past two years seems to have had little effect on the growth of the online gambling sector of the gaming market.
ICEi simply showcases the growth of the past year, and the latest developments that many online gambling companies release at the beginning of the new year, as well as some sneak previews into what is in store for the coming year.
While many gambling companies were conspicuous because of their latest developments, Cryptologic was unfortunately conspicuous because of their absence at this year's ICEi.
