Google, well known for their very popular search engine, announced that they will be launching Google TV, which is likely to be released before the end of this year, 2010.

There are a number of exciting advantages that would come with Google TV. Users of the Google TV technology would be able to search, via a Google-type interface, the TV shows that they wish to watch, which will make television viewing and finding specific shows a far more pleasant experience.

There will be an on screen search box, which will not only help viewers to find television shows, but also enable them to search the Internet for other content. Essentially, this means that users would be able to surf the web from their TVs. This is a very exciting idea for those who would like to have the chance to use their large screen TVs to enjoy online gambling and other sites that could do with a bit more space on the screen.

Large screen, high definition TVs that can be used to watch TV, and also gamble online, will give players a better overall gaming experience. For those who wish to use this exciting new interface, Google and Sony have formed a partnership to install the necessary chip in new TVs that will be sold. It is most likely that these will be available to consumers by the end of this year, if not before.

For quite some time, Google did not accept advertising connected to online casinos in their search engine. It is possible that this move towards Google TV may have had something to do with the fact that Google has recently begun accepting online gambling advertisements again.

For those in the UK, online gambling is already available via televisions. The interface used in order to gamble via TVs in the UK is Netplay TV, which has been quite successful so far. Google already has an extremely large network of users, of which many are online casino players. Millions of online gamers, and would-be online gamers will have access to Google TV, and therefore to online casino games if they wish to play them.

Many users of certain mobile devices enjoy online gambling while on the move. In the same way that those who have mobile devices that have the capability to gamble online makes it more convenient for players, having a TV that allows online gambling is certainly a convenient way to access your favorite online casino, not to mention the very large screen that you can do so on!
