November 24, 2010 | News Category: Online Casinos
The EGR (eGaming Review) Operator Awards are coming up on November 24th. This year's event is the 6th annual EGR operator awards. It is taking place in London's HAC, and promises to be an exciting day for the online gambling industry.
The number of nominations received this year is larger than ever before, and there have also been two new categories that have been added to the event. The two new categories are for the Best Mobile Performance, and the Best Website Performance. The assessment of which operators that have the best performance will be based on the findings of Gomez, the website performance monitoring firm.
Other categories include four awards in the Affiliate Category, and a number of awards where the size and scale of the online gambling operation is not important, and then those in which size and scale are important.
Some of the categories in which size and scale do not have an affect on the outcome of the awards are as follows: Marketing Campaign, Innovation, Affiliate Programme, Financial Betting Operator, New Social Networking Operator, Socially Responsible Operator, New Sports betting innovation, New Customer Relations Operator of the Year, and the One-to-Watch. The One-to-Watch award incorporates those operators across the board such as online casino operations, sports betting operations, poker sites, bingo sites, and skill games operations.
The other categories that are awarded are the ones where both size and scale are important in winning the awards. These are for the best Online Casino Operator, Online Poker Operator, Online Bingo Operator, Mobile Operator, New Slots Operator, the best UK Sports Betting Operator, the best European Sports Betting Operator, New Italian Operator, New Skill Gaming Operator, New Lottery Operator, New White Label Operator, the Rising Star Operator, and the operator who has given Outstanding Contribution.
The Rising Star Operator award incorporates Online Casinos, Skill Games, Online Poker, Online Bingo, and Online Sports Betting operators. The Outstanding Contribution category is not one that companies can enter, but one in which companies are selected, and then judged by the EGR judges. In the past, John Anderson (888.com's Chief Executive Officer), Mark Blandford (Sportingbet's founder), and Andrew Black (Betfair's founder) have all won this prestigious award.
The ticket price to the EGR awards ceremony includes a three course dinner, drinks that are offered throughout the night, and also surprise entertainment, which will be offered at the after party. The event his year promises to be a very exciting and fun-filled evening.
