CryptoLogic and Paramount Sign a Deal

The answer is now apparent. CryptoLogic have made the next big move to combine online casino software with some of the best movies to have come out of Hollywood. According to the agreement between CryptoLogic and Paramount Digital Entertainment, CyrptoLogic has exclusive rights to use over 20 of Paramount Pictures' feature films for themes for their slot games. The press release named some of the twenty movies to be Forrest Gump, Beverly Hills Cop, Braveheart, Ghost, Beowulf and Ferris Bueller.
Brian Hadfield, CryptoLogic's President and Chief Executive Officer said that CryptoLogic is excited about the new relationship that has been formed with Paramount "as it both vindicates and enhances our strategic position." He further noted that Paramount Pictures has an extensive catalogue of feature films, and that "CryptoLogic makes the world's best branded Internet casino games." He continued to say that CryptoLogic's branded games have proved to increase online casino revenue.
At this time, it is not clear whether the agreement will include the whole spectrum of Paramount's classic and new releases or only a limited number of films. Either way, CryptoLogic has a number of very popular films on which to base their new games.
Luke Letizia, the Vice President for Interactive Licensing Paramount Digital Entertainment said that Paramount feel that their films will work well for those who wish to play in the ever evolving online gaming industry. He continued "We are excited to be able to work with CrytoLogic, a leader in this space, and are confident that they will develop games that are on par with the quality and caliber of Paramount Pictures properties."
As part of the agreement announcement, CryptoLogic announced that they plan to retain the right to create their own online gaming website specifically for film-themed slot machines. This has caused much speculation in the online gambling world as it could mean that not only will CryptoLogic license software to other online casinos, but that they may maintain their own online gambling website too.
United States players will once again be unable to play the slot games that carry the themes originating from films that were created in their own country. Intercasino.com is powered by CrytoLogic software, and is available only to non-US players at this time.
