5th International Gaming Awards in January

The 5th International Gaming Awards (IGA) is set to take place on January 23rd, 2012. The awards ceremony will take place in London, at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel. The International Gaming Awards give recognition both to land based gaming operations and online gaming operations. Delegates from all over the world are invited to attend this exciting event.
The International Gaming Awards is one of the most prestigious events held for the international gaming industry. Winning an award at this event is somewhat like an Emmy for the gaming world. This year, nominations need to be in by October 18th, 2011. After the nominations have been closed, a panel of expert judges review the nominees and then make the decision of who the winners will be.
There are awards across the gaming world, including the best online gaming sites, such as online poker, online casinos, and online bingo sites, as well as awards for creativity and for the best software providers, amongst many other prestigious awards.
With advances in the mobile technology and mobile gaming, a new award category has been added this year, offering an award that will be given to the best 'mobile operator' of the year. Mobile gaming is a big step forward in the gaming industry, and is the beginning of an interesting change in the way that online gaming can be accessed.
The best online casino operator is one of the most coveted awards that is offered, and online casinos do what they can during the year to compete for this title. The award is given with a number of things taken into consideration, such as the number and variety of games offered, the growth of the online casino, creative branding, the online casino's marketing scheme, and even the payment processing capabilities of the online casino.

Each year, a charity is supported by the International Gaming Awards, helping to create more awareness for the charity, and also to raise funds for it. This coming year, the Children with Leukemia, and Care International have been chosen as the charities for the 2012 International Gaming Awards.
