11 Online Casinos Close their Doors While Others Continue to Ope

The United States has been in turmoil recently, at least as far as Internet casinos go. Included in this turmoil are a number of e-wallet solutions that service the online gambling industry.

Names such as Black Friday and Blue Monday have been the talk of the town in online casino circles and after the latest seizures by the United States Federal authorities, a number of online casinos that have been accepting players from the United States have simply buckled and chosen to voluntarily close their doors.

Of course, it is difficult to point fingers at the online casinos since the US Department of Justice has made it extremely difficult for the online casinos to service players in the United States, along with the threat of prosecution looming over their heads.

Interestingly, the eleven online casinos that have shut down their US operations, and will no longer accept new players who are located in the United States are all operated on Vegas Technology online casino software. While there has been no official word that these online casinos have pulled out at the same time because Vegas Technology has chosen to leave the United States, it does look likely that this is the case. Some of the online casinos are members of the English Harbour Group, and others belong to the Hambledon New Venture, while all of the online casinos are operated by Vegas Technology online casino software.

The list of online casinos that have pulled out of the United States and will no longer accept new players from the United States is as follows: Online Vegas Casino, Go Casino, Millionaire Casino, Caribbean Gold Casino, VIP Slots Casino, Slots Galore Casino, English Harbour Casino, Grand Vegas Casino, Super Slots Casino, Silver Dollar Casino, and Crazy Slots Casino.

For those online casino players in the United States, although their choice has been somewhat diminished, there are still some excellent online casinos that have kept their doors open, and will still let players located in the United States sign up with, and play in, their online casinos. Included in this list are the popular online casinos that are operated on the Real Time Gaming online casino software. Some of the best of these US-friendly online casinos are Club World Casino, Rushmore Casino, Slots Oasis Casino, and Silver Oak Casino.

In 2006, Microgaming pulled out of the United States when the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) was signed into law. Perhaps Vegas Technology is now doing the same thing after this recent spate of anti-online casino actions.
