Withdrawals Using Credit and Debit Cards, Bank Transfer and Chec
March 13, 2011 | Article Category: Casino Banking
There are a number of options that players can use when withdrawing their funds from an online casino. Although players in the United States may have some difficulties with deposits and withdrawals because of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), players in other countries, such as the United Kingdom, have many options available to them.
On the whole, it is easier to deposit funds into online casino accounts than it is to withdraw them. The reason for this is that online casinos need to be especially careful to fight against the possibility of fraud. The added security is most certainly within the player's interests, even if it means that there can sometimes be delays.
Credit Cards
When using credit cards to make online casino deposits, players should not assume that they can also make withdrawals using the same credit card. In most cases, players cannot use their credit cards to withdraw online casino winnings, and in the rare cases that they are able to do this, they will be unable to withdraw more than the amount that they deposited at the online casino using the credit card in question.
Debit Cards
In the UK and Europe, debit cards can sometimes be used to make withdrawals for an amount larger than the amount the player initially deposited. It is important to note, however, that Mastercard will only allow deposits, and not withdrawals. Those who use Visa debit cards are able to both deposit and withdraw funds at many online casinos.
Bank Transfer
Those who are unable to make withdrawals to their debit cards have the option of requesting a bank transfer. Although all online casinos have different deposit and withdrawal policies, almost all of them will process online casino funds, for both deposits and withdrawals, by direct bank transfers. Players can use a bank transfer to withdraw funds, even if a different deposit method was used.
Check
Most online casinos will make payouts by check. It may take a little longer to process than an online method; however, it is a sure way to receive online casino payouts. Before choosing this method, players should ensure that the check will be made out in the currency of their home country. If the check is made out in dollars, for example, there will be a fee to bank it in countries outside of the United States. Some online casinos are able to write checks in the same currency in which the deposit was made, while others are unable to do so.
Other Methods
For those who prefer to use other methods to deposit and withdraw online casino funds, there are many e-wallet solutions available, as well as bank drafts, wire transfers, international money orders, and more.
