What are Reverse Withdrawals?

Most online casinos have a policy called "reverse withdrawals." Essentially, what happens is that when a player requests a withdrawal of their funds from an online casino, the casino holds the money for a period of time, during which the player can choose to leave it, and withdraw it, or the player can choose to reverse the withdrawal, and redeposit it back into their online casino account.

Most online casinos that offer reverse withdrawals hold the funds in a pending account for a period of 24 hours. Some online casinos will hold the funds in a pending account for as long as 48 hours. There are also those online casinos that only hold the funds for a few hours, and will process the withdrawal at the end of that time. Although very few and far between, there are even online casinos that do not use the reverse withdrawal policy at all.

An important point to know is that at some online casinos, there is an option to lower the pending time for withdrawals. Players can sometimes request that the reverse withdrawal time is lowered to as little as one hour, such as at Roxy Palace Casino, which is powered by Microgaming.

Online casinos will make the reverse withdrawal facility easy, and it will also sound like a useful and attractive option. For those players who change their mind about a withdrawal for any reason whatsoever, they can simply click on the reverse withdrawal option on their accounts page at their online casino. Players will need to select the funds that they had earmarked for withdrawal, usually with a checkbox, and then click the "Reverse Withdrawal" option. After this action has been done, players are likely to see a message confirming that the reverse withdrawal has taken place. The funds should then be back in the player's account, and will be reflected in the player's balance.

Flush an Online Casino Account

It is important for players to understand the terminology that is used at online casinos, and one of the terms that may come up when wishing to withdraw funds from an online casino account is to "flush" the account.

To flush the account is to finalize the withdrawal, literally to flush the funds out of the account. This will either happen when the pending time is over, or at some online casinos, players can contact Customer Services, and request that the account be flushed immediately. This option is a useful one for those who do not feel they have the self control to wait until the funds are flushed automatically by the casino.

There are always positives and negatives to anything, and this is true of reverse withdrawals too.
