There are a number of different variations of video poker that can be found at online casinos. Most players know the game Jacks or Better, but there are many other versions of video poker games that can be played to add variety to your online gaming experience.
Jacks or Better Video Poker
Jacks or Better is a video poker game in which the lowest hand that will be paid out is a pair of Jacks. Players will receive payouts on any hands that consists of two Jacks, or better poker hands.
Tens or Better Video Poker
This game has no wild cards. It is similar to Jacks or Better, but the lowest hand that can be paid out is a pair of tens. The maximum payout for a Royal Flush is usually set at 4,000 coins.
Aces and Faces Video Poker
This version of video poker is played in the same way that standard video poker games are played, however, there are larger payouts that are available for some of the poker combinations that are made. The higher payouts are given to all payouts that are made on any of the combinations that are made up of face cards - Jacks, Queens, or Kings, and also Aces. Four of a Kind is also given a larger payout in this version of video poker.
Deuces Wild Video Poker
The number two cards are referred to as Deuces. In this game, the two, or deuces, are considered to be wild cards. This means that the four 2's act as jokers, increasing the number of jokers available in this version of video poker.
Deuces and Joker Poker
Although video poker is usually played with a standard deck of 52 cards, there are some exceptions to this rule. This version of video poker, Deuces and Joker Poker, is a video poker game that is played with 53 cards. As the name implies, the deuces (twos) are considered to be jokers and there is also a regular joker in the pack that brings the total card number us to 53.
Louisiana Double Poker
This version of video poker is played in the same way that regular video poker games are played. The game, however, has an extra card, bringing the total number of cards to 53 instead of 52 cards. This extra card is not a wild card, but rather a double card. If the double card is held in a hand with some other cards that then form a winning combination, the player will receive a double payout for this video poker win.
