The following list can be used to troubleshoot any problems you may have while downloading new online casino software.

Check Your System Requirements

The online gambling software provider will have a list of system requirements that can be found on the online casino site. Players will need to check that the various parameters that the software company has listed are correct. Parameters to check are the CPU speed of your computer, the version of the operating system that you are using, and the hard disc capacity, or how much space is available on the hard disc of your computer. If your computer falls short of any of these requirements, you will need to upgrade your computer to meet the requirements, or you will not be able to successfully download the software.

TIP: When upgrading your computer, do not upgrade to exactly what is listed, but rather to the best versions that are currently available. This will help to keep the number of upgrades that you may have to do to a minimum.

Uninstall and Re-Download the Software

There may have been a glitch while the software was being downloaded. If this might have been the case, the software should simply be downloaded again. It is important that any files from the first attempt to download are removed from the computer before attempting to download the software a second time. In order to do this, do not simply delete what you think is the software, but rather make sure to "uninstall" the online casino software.

TIP: If you cannot find an uninstall application with the software that was downloaded, then use the option to "Add or Remove Programs" that can be found in the Control Panel.

Online Casino Customer Support

If none of the above helps, it is time to call in the professionals, and they can be found via the online casino's Customer Support department. The player should inform the online casino customer support representative that they have already tried the above actions, and describe what seemed to go wrong, or any error messages that may have appeared. The best way to contact customer services in this case is either on the phone, or via a live chat, since the casino employee may ask you to test something, or try something out while they are able to give you feedback. This will make the process much quicker than sending emails back and forth. The customer support representative may ask the player to try out a few things before they hit upon the correct solution.

If the customer support department is unable to help, although this rarely happens, the player should simply try another online casino, unless the customer support representative had another suggestion of how the problem could be resolved.
