Advantages and Disadvantages of Live Dealer Blackjack
July 31, 2010 | Article Category: Blackjack
When it comes to playing online blackjack, there are always going to be those who like the regular online casino blackjack, and those that will prefer the new format available, where players can play Live Dealer Blackjack. There are always advantages and disadvantages to everything, and Live Dealer Blackjack is no exception to this.
There is more than one variation of Live Dealer Blackjack, one of which moves quickly, since players play the hands out at the same time, and one of which moves at a more similar pace to land based blackjack.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Live Dealer Game Variations
When playing Live Dealer Blackjack games online, players who wish for speed will find that the Public Blackjack Live Dealer game is much faster than playing Personal Dealer Blackjack. This is because many players are playing at once, rather than each dealing with their hand in turn. If speed is what you’re looking for, then Public Blackjack is the way to go, because Personal Live Dealer Blackjack allows players about 10 to 15 seconds to make their play before the dealer will take over and make the choice for them. It is possible that each player will use their maximum amount of time for each turn, which would make the game somewhat slow, especially for those who are used to playing online blackjack, with the computer software as the dealer, because the pace of those games is particularly fast.
For those who prefer a more personal touch, and not only seeing that a live dealer is dealing the cards, they most likely would prefer Personal Live Dealer Blackjack. Even though the game takes longer, it has the advantage of recreating the feeling of sitting in a land based casino, playing blackjack at the blackjack table. The dealer will often use the players’ names, and the players have more time to interact too.
One of the disadvantages of playing Personal Live Dealer Blackjack is that players often have to wait for a place to open up at the table because each table is limited to 6 or 7 players, just as it is in a land based blackjack game. Most online casinos that offer Live Dealer Blackjack have a system in place in which players can play slots or other games, while they wait for a place to be available. When playing regular online blackjack, this is never an issue.
Trust and Live Dealer Blackjack
One of the advantages for many who play online blackjack, especially those who find it difficult to trust the online casino software’s Random Number Generator, they prefer to see the cards being dealt by the dealer that they can see via the webcam that the online casino has set up for this purpose. Having said this, however, it should be noted that those who play in trustworthy online casinos should have no problem trusting the Random Number Generator, because the online casino should be regularly audited, to ensure that the Random Number Generator is operating as it should.
